Letting Go - An Original Poem
I know this is pretty different from my usual type of posts, but this month I wanted to share an original poem of mine. I hope you enjoy it, and I'll be back to non-poetry posts next month.
I'll wrap up our memories
with ribbons and bows,
and gift them you
because you need them most.
Have them and hold them
and keep them close,
use them to anchor you
near to the coast.
I have to move on,
but please use my ghost
to help guide you back
when you stray far from home.
I hope I imprinted
upon you some hope
to carry with you
wherever you go.
